The upcoming Renters Rights Act will come into force on 1st May 2026.
This will introduce significant changes to private renting in England, including a ban on ‘no fault’ evictions, the abolition of fixed-term contracts and new rules to allow pets.
To support you now that the legislation has passed, here is a quick guide to summarise and help explain the key changes that landlords need to know.
Once you’ve found a property to rent and completed a viewing, you will complete an application form to comply with Anti Money Laundering Regulations. Through this referencing process, our landlords get all the information they require before the property is let.
If your application is successful, you will be issued a tenancy agreement, a request for payment of the deposit and the first month’s rent. Before the commencement of your tenancy, we will contact you to arrange an appointment for you to sign the tenancy documentation, including a record of the condition and making the total move-in payment.
